That the City Council adopt the resolution revising the date and time for a joint public, hearing to consider the First Amendment to the Merged Redevelopment Plan for the Merged Redevelopment Project Area No. 2. SUMMARY: These actions revise the previously established public hearing date from September 18, 2002 to October 2, 2002 to consider the adoption of Redevelopment Plan Amendments. The original public hearing date was established at the July 24, 2002 meetings of the CRA and City Council. BACKGROUND: On July 24, 2002 the CRA and City Council commenced the Redevelopment Plan Amendment process to reestablish eminent domain authority in Merged Redevelopment Project Areas No. 1 and 2 and adopted resolutions setting the date and time of a joint public hearing on the amendments for September 18, 2002. Based on subsequent input from the City Attorney and other parties it has been determined that a more comprehensive set of Amendments resulting in amended and restated redevelopment plans for the two Merged Project Areas is desired and an additional two weeks will be needed to accomplish the necessary revisions in the previously drafted amendments. No hearing notices have been published or mailed for the original date and staff will revise the required hearing notice upon approval of the new date. These cca-& notices are scheduled to be mailed to the appropriate property owners and occupants the week of August 26. 01- JOHN S.
