APPRAISAL SERVICES
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into appraisal
services professional service contracts not to exceed $60,000 through the end of
calendar year 2002.
SUMMARY:
This action would allow the City Manager to execute appraisal contracts on a variety
of potential asset sales, acquisitions and GASB-34 requirements.
BACKGROUND:
The City has a variety of potential asset sales and acquisition projects currently under
review. Also, the City is required to value its assets under General Accounting
Standards Board Regulation 34 (GASB-34). To ensure the above projects are
completed in a timely fashion, approval for the City Manger to enter into appraisal
service contracts is sought.
A Minute Order is attached which would authorize City Manager action.

CONTRACTS UP TO $60,000 EACH FOR
CALENDAR YEAR 2002 WITH FINAL
WORDING OF CONTRACTS SUBJECT TO
CITY ATTORNEY APPROVAL.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that this Minute Order, authorizing the
City Manager to enter into appraisal service contracts up to
$60,000 each for calendar year 2002 with final wording of
contracts subject to City Attorney approval,was adopted by the
City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, in a
meeting thereof held on the 4" day of September 2002.
