HomeMy WebLinkAbout0202C - WESSMAN DEVELOPMENT, PLAZA THEATRE John Wessman dba Wesman Dev Co Ltr re Acq CRA Lease/Purch Louise 's Pantry & Karen Korner certain easements AGREEMENT #202 Department of Tconomic Development R5962-1 89_R65_f�17-F-gy (619) 323-8197 ; (619) 323-8259 TFAX (619) 323 3314 February 1, 1989 Mr. John Wessman Wessman Development Co. 67-625 Highway 111 Cathedral City, CA 92234 RE: An Extension of Redevelopment Participation Agreement dated November 2, 1988 Dear John: The following will constitute the agreement between John Wessman doing business as Wessman Development Company (Wessman) , and the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Palm Springs (CRA) regarding the future acquisition of Parcel 5 (Louise's Pantry) and a portion of Parcel 6 (Karen 's Korner) and certain easement rights in accordance with the Redevelopment Participation Agreement between Wessman and the CRA dated November 2, 1988, Section 3.4B and Section 3.5: Point No. 1) Wessman will acquire the Palm Canyon commercial frontage of the property known as Louise's Pantry, and Karen 's Korner, and lease certain easement rights over the north corridor of the theatre, easement rights over the entrance courtyard, and easement rights over the rear access from the theatre to Indian Avenue, for four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) at the end of the lease term of the Plaza Theatre lease/purchase agreement. The acquisition of the commercial frontage shall include five feet of courtyard adjacent to Louise' s Pantry and Karen 's Korner and shall permit the use of the courtyard for dining purposes providing the use does not interfere with passage to the theatre. (See Exhibit A. ) Point No. 2) The CRA will receive the lease payments made under the exist- ing and new leases for Louise's Pantry and Karen 's Korner as adjusted, amended or extended, during the term of the lease with Strebe.
