Re: Plaza at Sunrise/Bridge Widening
Dear John:
As part of the approval of the above-referenced project, the City required
various transportation improvements, including the widening of the Ramon
Road Bridge over the Baristo Channel , to alleviate existing and future traffic
congestion in the area. Due to the general area-wide benefit of the bridge
widening and the inability of the project to support this unusual site
specific cost, the Agency proposes to reimburse Wessman Development Company
for the cost of this work.
Under the Agency proposal , the design and construction of the bridge improve-
ments are to be performed by Wessman Development Company (WDC) . WDC will
also pay for the improvements initially with reimbursement of these costs
by the Agency in one lump sum payment. Such payment shall occur on or before
ninety (90) days after acceptance of the improvements by the City or July
31, 1990, whichever is later. Upon completion of the improvements, WDC
shall submit to the Agency the verified costs for the project, which shall
include paid receipts and materials and labor releases.
The Agency' s total reimbursement shall not exceed $38,500.
Post Office Doc 1706, ]halm Springs, California 92263-17G6
The project approval did not require a deceleration lane on Sunrise Way
but in the interest of traffic safety the Agency agrees to a total reimburse-
ment of up to $19,419 under to same terms and conditions as above for verified
costs related to this work.
Should the Agency proposal as outlined above be agreeable to you, please
sign and return this letter. Subsequent to your acceptance, I will present
this letter agreement to the Agency Board of Directors for their approval .
Sincerely,
Norman R. King
Executive Director
