RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the City Council approve amending the Comprehensive Fee Schedule. SUMMARY: This recommendation is being made to the city council to increase some of the animal control fees due to increase costs of equipment and providing these services. BACKGROUND: The costs of providing city's animal control services have increased in both equipment and personnel. A majority of the fees have not been increased in many years. By approving these fee increases the city will be able to collect the actual costs of providing these services. The attached chart provides a description of the services and the current and the new recommended increased fees. FISCAL IMPACTS By approving these fee increases the city will be able to accurately collect the cost of providing these services.
