To work with a group who is dedicated to their purpose to provide service to the community and all its' citizens. QUALIFICATIONS I am a person who is dedicated and capable. I am very fair minded and professional in my approach. My community service background includes serving as Co-chair(1990 to 1995)for the NAMES Project in Long Beach for 5 Years and produced the Quilt Presentation annually at the Queen Mary. I was Co-chair for the City of Long Beach HIV/AIDS prevention education committee for 2 years until my move to Palm Springs in 1995. 1 am a member of the AVER, Palm Springs Chapter of Gay Veterans. EDUCATION Formal Schooling: 2 years of College. Additional courses over my career include financial Management and software development. I EMPLOYMENT 1982-1995 Currently Retired Southern California Edison Operations Supervisor. My job responsibilities were both technical and customer service related. I was responsible for the telecommunications and statistical data for our Customer Service. I had a staff of 10 and was equally comfortable with the Executive Staff,my peers and my subordinates. 1973-1982 ROHMCorp. Director of Operations, An electronics manufacturer. I was responsible for the Inventory Control as well as overseas communications. MILITARY 1965-1969 Honorable Discharge. Received 2 Medals. Sewed in Piet Nam. Rank: SSgt(E6). United States Marine Corps. I atn M V positive since 1984 and have been diagnosed with active AIDS in 1999. My health at this time is very stable although I have some limitations regarding length of time I work each day. I am currently retired and available to serve with no other full time obligatic I do i kkeeping for some clients on a weekly basis;approximately 10 to 15 hours pe"reelt_" I am 57 years old.
