Subject: ACCEPTANCE OF REAL PROPERTY FOR OPEN SPACE PURPOSES
FROM THE MEYERMAN FAMILY TRUST IN SECTION 15, TOWNSHIP 4
SOUTH, RANGE 4 EAST; FILE R-08-16

SUMMARY
Pursuant to the terms of a Settlement Agreement, Harold J. and Dorothy C. Meyerman
are granting to the City of Palm Springs fee title to a certain parcel of land located north
of The Willows and west of the Palm Springs Art Museum.
RECOMMENDATION:
1) Accept a Grant Deed from Harold J. and Dorothy C. Meyerman, Trustees of the
Meyerman Family Trust dated August 2, 1989, conveying fee title to the City of
Palm Springs a certain parcel of land containing approximately 27,864 square
feet (0.64 acres) located in Section 15, Township 4 South, Range 4 East,
generally located north of The Willows and west of the Palm Springs Art
Museum.
STAFF ANALYSIS:
In 2007, City staff processed a request for a Lot Line Adjustment between the Conrad-
Marut Family Trust dated April 21, 2003, and the Meyerman Family Trust dated August
2, 1989, owners of certain parcels of land generally located north of The Willows and
west of the Palm Springs Art Museum. The intent of the Lot Line Adjustment was to
relocate an adjoining lot line between the two separately owned properties; however,
the final approved version of the Lot Line Adjustment did not accurately reflect the intent
of the conveying party.
Pursuant to the terms of a Settlement Agreement between the parties, the accepting
party to the Lot Line Adjustment is required to convey to the City of Palm Springs a
portion of the parcel of land erroneously granted pursuant to the Lot Line Adjustment by
the conveying party. The parcel of land, measuring 27,864 square feet (0.64 acres)

to the City of Palm Springs, a California charter city, GRANTER, fee title to the real property in the City
of Palm Springs, County of Riverside, State of California, described as follows:
Being over the land described in Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
The real property being conveyed shall be held in perpetuity for open space purposes.
