David H. Ready, City Manager BY: James Thompson, City Clerk SUMMARY The City Council will receive a `menu' of requests from the BIA, and provide appropriate direction to staff. RECOMMENDATION: Receive and direct staff as appropriate, and/or direct staff to schedule a discussion of the requests at a future Study Session. STAFF ANALYSIS: At the request of Councilmember Mills, staff met with the Building Industry Association, to discuss the potential of a deferral of Development Impact Fees (such as Quimby, Public Arts, etc). Staff met with the BIA who provided the attached requests for discussion, to provide relief for the residential building industry being affected by the current credit crunch and housing market declines.
