HomeMy WebLinkAbout22324 - RESOLUTIONS - 7/30/2008 RESOLUTION NO. 22324 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE MASTER AGREEMENT, ADMINISTERING AGENCY — STATE AGREEMENT FOR STATE FUNDED PROJECTS, STATE AGREEMENT NO. 001645, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS. A6708. WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has enacted legislation by which certain State funds may be made available for use on local transportation related projects of public entities qualified to act as recipients for these state funds; and WHEREAS, the City of Palm Springs has applied to the California Transportation Commission (CTC) and/or the State of California for funding from either the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), or other State-funded programs, for use on local authorized transportation related projects as a local administered project; and WHEREAS, before State funds will be made available for any project, the City of Palm Springs and the state of California are required to enter into an agreement to establish terms and conditions applicable to the City when receiving State funds for a designated project facility and to the subsequent operation and maintenance of that completed facility. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Master Agreement, Administering Agency — State Agreement for State funded Projects, State Agreement No. 001645, with the state of California, is approved. SECTION 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute and administer the Master Agreement as may be necessary. ADOPTED THIS 30th day of July, 2008. David H.
