CONVENTION CENTER FINAL TRADE BID CONTRACT AWARDS
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that City Council award contracts for the final Trade Bids that exceed
$100,000, which include Painting, Millwork and Signage.
SUMMARY:
The proposed action will conclude the award of Trade Contracts for the Convention Center
Project.
BACKGROUND:
The Convention Center Expansion Project is being developed under a Construction
Management form of contracting which utilizes a whole series of Trade Contractors to
perform the work. The City Council has previously authorized the City Manager to award all
Trades less than $100,000. There are three trades which are currently being competitively
bid:
Trade 20 Painting $350,000 Estimate
Trade 26 Millwork $117,330 Estimate
Trade 34 Signage $200,000 Estimate
The above referenced Trades will bid shortly before the scheduled City Council meeting and
an updated report will be provided the City Council for consideration at the meeting.

SUPPLEMENTAL REPORT- ITEM NO. 6 - CONVENTION CENTER
Bides were received from three (3) trades that were expected to exceed the $100,000
award limit of the City Manger. Those trades were Trade 20 Painting, Trade 26 Millwork
and Trade 34 Signage.
Trade 20 Painting: This trade had three bid schedules; 20A Paint existing building and
integral color in plaster, 20B Paint new and old building acrylic paint, and 20C paint new
and old building elastomeric paint. Bids were received as follows:
