Hello — has anyone at City Hall (management) thought of talking to the Desert Water Agency or Edison for a minimal fee for the irrigation and electricity to maintain these properties and be collected when the property sells, or does this make too much sense? I think this is called involvement by the city, DWA and Edison. Would not the neighbors be happy about the property next door looking better until the property is sold? Why the city does not ask for more input from its citizens is a mystery. Better yet, just pay attention to the concerns of citizens whether via local newspaper in the Opinion pages or the numerous blogs or countless e- mails sent to our representatives, which seem to go unread or unanswered (which also is a mystery). Or would you rather spend $75,000 a year on a dysfunctional fountain? If you all agree please speak up. Bill Ferra Palm Springs
