No matter what one may personally feel regarding the situation of the casino workers, this was not a city issue and those who disregarded the advisal of the Mayor were actually being rude, and disrespectful of others. That also applies, no matter where one stands on the development issues, to the mountain preseervationists. Their comments should be restricted to the public hearing segment of the agenda. They should not be allowed to have free air time to advertise their position regarding ballot measures by holding up signs. While I may not always agree with Mr. McCullough, his comments were right on point. Anyone who demonstrates such lack of regard for the first amendment right of opposing viewpoints should be removed from the meeting room for their disruptive behavior, and being just plain RUDE. Ok, I got that off my chest. Seriously and respectfully, I would like to see the council be stronger in establishing limitations on public comment speakers for the benefit and consideration of others. Thank you.
