Page 1 of 1 Subj: Statement for City Council Date: 1/20/2010 425:55 P-M_ Pacific Standard Time From: psccactus o.aol Corn To: DolfCastillogaol.com I have asked Dolf(or Darren) to read my statement for you tonight as I cannot be here. The Cocky Cactus has been in Palm Springs for almost 25 years and we are in favor of and understand the need for the Business Improvement District_ As a small business we could never afford the advertising that has been provided by the BID. The BID allows the downtown merchants to pool their resources and accomplish things most of us could not do alone. We feel the fairest and most sensible is for the fees to be based on the business license fees. We also hope that the city would see fit to show their support of the downtown merchants by matching the amount collected. As the stronger the downtown is, the stronger the city is. Laura Walsh and David Cyr of The Cocky Cactus support the Business Improvement District 100%! Thank you_ at /z'o /zo10 ,Lu,r- vJFr tsN Svc ui77e aYaoc=o cAsrrccv Wednesday, January 20,2010 ACL: DolfCastillo Tammy Perewhica From: Beatiiz Terry Ibumblbee4 c@dc.rr.com] Sent: Friday, November 06,200911:06 AM To: Tammy Perezchica Subject: Townhall Meetings Attendance Attachments: GreenSubbles.jpg; 10-1-2009 Mainstreet Townhall BID session form.docx; 10-5-2009 Mainstreet Townhall BID session.docx; 10-6-2009 Mainstreet Townhall BID session.docx, 10-6-2009 Mainstreet Townhall BID session.docx; 10-14-2009 Mainstreet Townhall BID session.docx; 10-19-2009 Mainstreet Townhall BID session.doc Attached is each meeting separated, all merchants and"visitors"are included in each sheet.
