RECOMMENDATION: Waive further reading and adopt Ordinance No. 1668, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 7.01.040 OF THE PALM SPRINGS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE DEFINITION OF "CONTRACT" AND "PURCHASE ORDER" AS SUCH TERMS ARE USED IN THE CITY'S PROCUREMENT AND CONTRACTING CODE." STAFF ANALYSIS: At its May 18, 2005, meeting the City Council introduced on first reading the proposed ordinance.
