Ready, City Manager BY: Parks & Recreation Dept. and Procurement & Contracting SUMMARY The t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, caps and jerseys are used primarily by the Recreation Division in conjunction with softball leagues and tournaments, the summer camp program, and other activities throughout the year. Some items will be purchased for resale at City-sponsored events and programs, while other items will be purchased as awards and marketing giveaways. This action would award the purchase of these items on a unit price basis for a three year period with two one-year optional renewals. RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Minute Order No. approving the purchase of T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Jackets, Caps and Jerseys from AMA Enterprises, on a unit price basis, not to exceed $35,000 per year, for a three year period with two one-year optional renewals. STAFF ANALYSIS: RFP 05-05 to furnish and deliver T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, Jackets, Caps and Jersey's was advertised in The Public Record, posted on the City website, and mailed to sixteen firms. Proposals were received and evaluated from the following five firms: AMA Enterprises, Jernigan's Sporting Goods Inc., Chendo's Custom Screen Printing, Foundation for the Retarded, and H.W. Image Works. Proposals were evaluated on unit price cost (based on annual quantity estimates), quality of product (based on samples submitted), response/production turnaround time, experience and background in the industry, and references. AMA Enterprises was ranked highest on all criteria by the evaluation committee. There are no minimum usage requirements for this award, purchases will be made only for those items required for an event at the awarded unit prices, and as budgeted each Item No. 2 . M .
