CP2004-07, IN THE AMOUNT OF $549,948 FROM: David H. Ready, City Manager BY: Department of Aviation SUMMARY That the City Council award to G&M Construction, the construction contract for the Non- Revenue Terminal Parking at the Palm Springs International Airport, City Project No. CP2004-07, in the amount of$549,948 as the lowest, responsive bidder. RECOMMENDATION: 1. Adopt Minute Order No. , awarding to G&M Construction, the construction contract for the NON-REVENUE TERMINAL PARKING, City Project No. CP2004-07, in the amount of $549,948; and 2. Authorize the City Manager to execute all the necessary documents in a form acceptable to the City Attorney. A STAFF ANALYSIS: The project for construction of Non-Revenue Terminal Parking was advertised July 28, 2005. The bids were due on August 19 2005. Staff solicited bids and two (2) bidders responded. The lowest responsive bid was G&M Construction at $549,948. The other bid received was from Matich Corporation in the amount of$756,756. After an extensive review of the bids, staff recommends that the City Council award to G&M Construction, the construction contract for the Non-Revenue Terminal Parking, City Project No. CP2004-07, in the amount of$549,948, and authorize the City Manager to execute all the necessary documents in a form acceptable to the City Attorney.
