FROM: David H. Ready, City Manager BY: AIRPORT DEPARTMENT SUMMARY This action will award a contract for the replacement of four access perimeter gates operator units at the Palm Springs International Airport. RECOMMENDATION: 1) Approve the furnish and installation of 4 access perimeter gates for the Palm Springs International Airport as specified in Invitation for Bid #11-01 from Patton Enterprise, Inc., Palm Springs, CA. in the amount of $32,441.00. 2) Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute all necessary documents. STAFF ANALYSIS There are four (4) motorized perimeter access gates that are nearly 20 years old in need of replacement at the Airport. Procurement and Contracting staff worked with the Airport to develop the specifications necessary to conduct a competitive bid process (IFB 11-01) for four (4) Access Perimeter Gates for the Palm Springs International Airport. Seven bids responded and Patton Enterprise, Inc. located in Palm Springs, CA. was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder at $32,441.00.
