A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING AND
APPROVING TWO-HOUR PARKING ON THE SOUTH SIDE
OF THE EAST PALM CANYON DRIVE FRONTAGE ROAD
BETWEEN THE WEST COMMENCEMENT OF FRONTAGE
ROAD AND CERRITOS ROAD.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS DOES HEREBY FIND
AS FOLLOWS:
A. Palm Springs Municipal Code §12.32.010 authorizes the establishment of
time limited parking areas on certain streets, to be established by the City Council by
Resolution.
B. The City Council desires to limit the parking on the south side of Frontage
Road between the west commencement of Frontage Road (on the west) and Cerritos
Road (on the east) as two hour parking during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
daily, to provide convenient parking for the residents and businesses in the immediate
area during business hours.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The south side of Frontage Road between the west
commencement of Frontage Road (on the west) and Cerritos Road (on the east), shall
be established as a time limited parking zone to two-hours between the hours of 7:00
a.m. and 7:00 p.m. daily.
SECTION 2. The City Engineer is hereby directed and authorized to establish
the restricted two-hour parking area as approved in Section 1 of this Resolution, by the
installation of signs and/or markings in conformance with California Vehicle Code
§22507 and Palm Springs Municipal Code §12.32.090.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the
City Council of the City of Palm Springs.
