HomeMy WebLinkAbout23083 RESOLUTION NO. 23083 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF AN EASEMENT IN FAVOR OF THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT FOR PALM CANYON WASH, STAGE 5 (RCFC PROJECT NO. 6-0-00040, RCFC PARCEL NO. 6040. WHEREAS, the City of Palm Springs holds a real property interest over Lot "R" of Tract Map No. 30046, on file in Map Book 387, Pages 13-19, inclusive, records of Riverside County, California, identified by Assessor's Parcel No. 512-330-023; and WHEREAS, Lot "R" of Tract Map No. 30046 was reserved to the City for open space and flood control purposes for the Palm Canyon Wash, identified on the City's General Plan as a regional flood control facility; and WHEREAS, the Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District ("RCFC") has, and continues to, maintain such regional flood control improvements; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to grant an easement to the RCFC, to further promote RCFC's ability to maintain such regional flood control improvements for the common benefit of the public. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The Easement Deed, attached hereto, for conveyance of an easement for flood control and drainage purposes related to Palm Canyon Wash, Stage 5, RCFC Project No. 6-0-00040, RCFC Parcel No. 6040, is hereby approved. SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the Easement Deed, which shall be transmitted to RCFC for its acceptance and recordation.
