REASONS FOR DEVELOPING THE
SECTION 14 MASTER PLAN
e Achieve the highest and best use of Indian trust lands
u,Create an attractive,feasible,and marketable vision for
future development
e Provide a supporting master environmental document to
expedite leasing and permitting
• Encourage the consolidation of parcels and remove out-
of-date and inconsistent zoning boundaries
•Expedite development proposals that are consistent with
the Section 14 Specific Plan

PROJECT SCHEDULE
• Fall 2012:Initiate the market study and complete streets
planning effort.
• Winter 2012/13:Draft market study and complete streets
plan completed;Additional public outreach meetings to
solicit feedback.
• Spring 2013:Screen check draft of the updated Master Plan
completed and circulated to City and BIA Staff for review
and comment.
• Summer 2013:Draft update of the Master Plan completed.
City and BIA staff prepare the necessary CEQA/NEPA
documentation.
• Fall 2013:Draft update of the Master Plan reviewed by the
IPC and Tribal Council;recommendation forwarded to the
Palm Springs City Council for approval.
