I question the judgment of anyone who would want to remove the one constant who has played such a key role in continuous improvements to our city. I feel it is important to retain David Ready, who has shown great focus and success on continuing to improve our city and that we avoid these types of distractions. Sincerely, ortd Peter L. Please support him. Bruce Mentzer 256 W Via Lola, PS 1 RECEIVED -ITY OF PALMSPRING August 3, 2016 4010 AUG -3 PH I: 19 To the Mayor and City Council members- JA CITY CLERK I'm submitting this letter in support of the continued tenure of David Ready as our city manager. have known David almost as long as the 11 years I've lived here. I have worked with David on a number of civic initiatives for clients over the last several years and I know that he is supportive of all of the citizens of Palm Springs and that he works tirelessly to make this city run as well as it does. David is a tremendously supportive partner to the tourism and hospitality industries and he is one of the strongest supporters of Palm Springs that I know of. I believe that the best city council is a united city council and I ask for your unanimous support of David from all five of you. He deserves much more respect than he is currently being given. One man does not run a city- not a single mayor or a single city manager. As Hillary Clinton has said, "it takes a village" and in Palm Springs we need a united, not divided, council to make our city work at its peak. Thank you for supporting David and in support of this great city.
