Subject: Public Input
The agenda item "Acceptance of the Agenda", just prior to "Public Comment' allows Council
Members to remove items from the consent calendar for separate discussion, however there is no
provision for a member of the public to request the same. In the interest of transparency, would it not
be helpful for the public to know the reason for supporting an item without open, public discussion?
Perhaps there is a way the order of these two items: "Acceptance of the Agenda" and "Public
Testimony" could be reversed? Thus allowing a public request for information leading to the
acceptance of an item without discussion.
