Home My WebLink About24144 RESOLUTION NO. 24144 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 22841. WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act (Government Code Section 81000 et seq.) requires local government agencies to promulgate and adopt conflict of interest codes; and WHEREAS, on December 15, 2010, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 22841 adopting a Conflict of Interest Code for the City of Palm Springs, which was amended in 2012 by Resolution No. 23280; and in 2014 by Resolution No. 23732 and WHEREAS, on June 1, 2016, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 24044 directing staff to review the City's Conflict of Interest Code; and WHEREAS, in September 2016 the City Council received the 2016 Local Agency Biennial Notice, and directed staff to promulgate the necessary amendments to the City's Conflict of Interest Code. NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Appendix 1 to Exhibit A to Resolution No. 22841 as amended, is hereby amended and replaced in its entirety by Appendix 1 attached hereto and incorporated herein. SECTION 2. Nothing in this Resolution supersedes the independent applicability of Government Code Section 87200.
