SUBJECT: REVIEW AND APPOINT LIAISONS TO CITY BOARDS AND
COMMISSIONS

RECOMMENDATION:
Determine whether the City Council desires to appoint a City Council Liaison to each of
the City Commissions and Boards and provide direction as appropriate.
STAFF ANALYSIS:
On October 18, 2017, Councilmember Kors requested agendizing a discussion of
whether to appoint a City Council Liaison to each of the City's Boards and Commissions.
Below is a listing of the City's Boards and Commissions. Currently, Mayor Pro Tern
Roberts is the only City Council Liaison to the Airport Commission.
Board or Commission Meeting Schedule
Administrative Appeals Board As needed
Airport Commission 2nd Wednesday of each month at 8 a.m.
Board of Appeals As needed.
Board of Library Trustees 4thThursday of each month at 3:00 p.m.
Historic Site Preservation Board 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m.
Small Hotel BID Advisory Board Varies
Human Rights Commission 2nd Monday of each month at 3:00 p.m.
Measure "J" Oversight Commission 31dThursday of each month at 4:00 p.m.
Parks and Recreation Commission 31dTuesday of each month at 2:30 p.m.
Personnel Board As needed
Planning Commission 2nd & 4thWednesday of each month at 1:30 p.m.
Public Arts Commission 2nd Thursday of each month at 4:00 .m.,
Rent Review Commission As needed
