Qn 6ehalf of the citizens of the City of Palm Springs I want to recognize
,John Paolo 5ioson who has served as a student representative to the Palm
Springs Human Rights Commission for the past six dears — 6eginning when he
was a 13 year old seventh grader at KagmonJ Cree Middle School.
John Paolo is a first generation American wlio strongly believes in equality
and protecting diversity in our community. He recently graduated from Palm
Springs High School with a 4.4 grade point average and was awarded a Palm
Springs High School Academic Letter having maintained a 4.0 GFA in all
four gears of high school. He has also been the recipient of several other honors
I
ncluding recognition from both tkc Senate of California and the California
Statc Assembly for being selected as a delegate to the 201 1 California
American Legion bogs State.
To continue his service to mankind, ,John now plans to serve his country 69
enlisting with the united States Marine Corps.
As Mayor of the City of Palm Springs, I want to recognize John Paolo
for his service to the Palm Springs Human Rights Commission, his schools, our
community, our state and our country. We honor and thank this outstanding
young man for all of his contributions.
