Palm Springs Fire Department as a Reserve Firefighter in 1984 and as a
full-time firefighter on November 3, 1986; and
WHEREAS, Cameron has promoted through the ranks to his
current position of Deputy Fire Marshal/Fire Captain; and
WHEREAS, Cameron's experience performing life safety
inspections, promoting public education and conducting fire
investigations has proven invaluable during his entire firefighting
career; and
WHEREAS, being the current President of the Riverside County
Fire Prevention Officer's Association, Cameron's leadership and
experience have provided this organization with operational goals and
visions to better protect the citizens of Riverside County; and
WHEREAS, Cameron is currently the Chairman of the
American Heart Association for the Coachella Valley as well as a
Regional Faculty member and has always been dedicated to the safety
and health of our residents and visitors; and
WHEREAS, Cameron has exemplified the true meaning of
being "Committed to our Community" throughout his career and has
represented the City of Palm Springs very well.
NOW THEREFORE, I, Stephen P. Pougnet, Mayor of the
City of Palm Springs, take pride in thanking Cameron Robbins for his
many excellent accomplishments, his extraordinary public service to
our community for 26 years, wish Cameron many happy days in his
well-deserved retirement with his wife, Sue and their children, and by
the power vested in me do hereby proclaim the 201" day of June 2012 to
be:
