HomeMy WebLinkAbout00509 - FAA HOLD HARMLESS FAA - Hold harmless leLter agr C_,. operating lighLing control sysL,,,i AGR"'ITENT ak009 (Original) 3-1-67 v^c i','8864, 2 14-67 Palm Springs Tower and Palm Springs Munic:ip=1 lrport LETTER OF AGREEMENT EFFECTIVE March 1 , 1967 OPERATION OF AIRPORT LIGHT SYSTEMS to PURPOSE, This letter of agreement establishes procedures and delineates responsibilities for operation of the Palm Springs Municipal Airport light systems during those hours when Palm Springs tower is not in operation. 20 RESPONSIBILITY. The airport owner/operator covenants and agrees to indemnify and save harmless the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA to the extent that it may be acting by and through the Federal Aviation Agency and the agents, employees, or designees of said Agency against any and all loss, damage, costs and expenses which it or they may hereafter incur, -suffer, or pay by reason of its , or their, negli- gence arising out of the operation of the runway lights at Palm Springs Municipal Airport during any period when the Airport Traffic Control Tower at said airport is closed and non-operational . Runway lights may not be lighted by tower personnel if a NOTAM closing that runway is ,in effect. The "Hold Harmless" Resolution by the City of Palm Springs is attached. 3. PROCEDURES The City of Palm Springs requests tower personnel to set the follow- ing light switches as indicated when closing the airport traffic control tower for the night: 1 ) Runway lights "ON" , Step #2. 2) Rotating Beacon "ON" . 3) Wind cone lights "ON 4) Obstruction lights "ON' . 5) Taxiway lights "ON' .
