A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS,
CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE CALTRANS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
OUTLINED IN LOCAL ASSISTANCE PROCEDURES MANUAL, CHAPTER 10
FOR ADMINISTERING FEDERALLY FUNDED CAPITAL PROJECTS
A. The City of Palm Springs has several capital improvement projects that are funded
wholly or in part by federal monies.
B. Caltrans oversees the administration of a majority of the State's projects that utilize
federal funds and require that the City either adopt their policies and procedures for these
specific projects or that the City modify their own policies and procedures such that
Caltrans will approve them.
C. It is more effective to adopt the Caltrans policies and procedures for use on
federally funded projects rather than modify the City's existing procurement policies and
procedures.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the findings and determinations reflected above are true and
correct, and are incorporated by this reference herein as the cause and foundation for the
action taken by and through this Resolution.
SECTION 2. The adoption of the latest version of the Caltrans Local Assistance
Procedures Manual, Chapter 10, is hereby approved and shall be implemented by staff
for City Capital Improvement Projects that are federally funded.
ADOPTED THIS 6th DAY OF JUNE, 2018.
