I am representing my apparent company GS Asset Management as well as a spokes person for the Property Management Association and the Renter Association of the Desert. As a collective body we have all been most concerned about the current contract fees with Palm Springs Disposal Company. Specifically the pad lock fees charged by the disposal company. REFERENCE PRICE SHEET (price breakdown for locking dumpsters) Prior to the last contract renewal with Palm Springs Disposal Company we paid ten dollars ($10.00)to purchase each lock we needed from Palm Springs Disposal, this was a one-time charge. There was no other charges associated with unlocking or locking dumpster areas. I originally began inquires on this topic back in September of 2008. I had spoke with several city officials. After speaking with the city official they had expressed the opinion that after reviewing the contract the pricing appeared excessive. The reason I went to the city is that I had placed several calls and request to have a Mr. Rick Wade, local manager for Palm Springs Disposal contact me. After several days and no return call the company told me that Mr. Wade never takes phone calls. I was told if you need to contact him you must do so by e-mail only. Thus on September 16, 2008 l did send e-mail to Mr. Wade and had received a reply (this corresponded is attached to your price break down sheet. To this date I have received no encouraging feed back on this issue. Thus my presence here this evening in front you. Request a contract addendum to be performed upon next review of contract for Palm Springs Disposal Company. To lower pad lock open and close fees. ASLllough we are the contractor, for the city and if you wish to have trash service you must Subscribe for this service wiLh PSDS, you still have the choice of unlocking the enclosure wir,h your locks on the day of your pickup. You aren't forced to use PSDS to supply you lock, and pay for that fee. I have made two attempts to reach you on SCPtCmbet 1ULh, and could not leave a message.
