I purchase my home at 2040 Joyce Drive In the latter months of 2004.and as you will see on the enclosed property detail, it was clearly represented as a fully renovated home"ON"The Palm Springs Country Club Golf Course. Seemingly,within a few months of my ownership of the 2040 Joyce Drive property,the care for and condition of the golf course began to deteriorate,with rumors surfacing regarding the uncertain fate of"The Palm Springs Country Club Golf Course" I Could trouble you with ongoing reasons why the rezoning and development of some 250 residences would adversely affect_.. not only my property,but all surrounding properties along the golf course, as well as the the entire residential neighborhood of Deseit Park Estates, and the surrounding areas... however. I am confident you are well aware of the many reasons for opposition, as well as why the existing area residents view this change and potential development as very unfavorable. The impact of increasing the density of living in this area will deteriorate the quality of life,obstruct open views, congest roadways, raise levels of noise, all the while ... seemingly only to benefit Mr.Burnett,the owner and intended developer of this land. I question how rezoning can be aCCCmplished without the consent of those of us most obviously affected by the loss of what Is now open land space, which is presently zoned for use as an 18 hole golf course. 1 am strongly In opposition to the land being rezoned, and for any use other then haw it was represented to me. Inclusive in Its representation was the City of Palm Springs,the setters of 2340 Joyce Drive,the involved representing Real'Estate agents, as well as both the listing seller and buyer Reai Estate companies involved with my purchase in 2004. 1 will be forwarding this letter on to other involved and Interested parties.
