HomeMy WebLinkAbout17159 - RESOLUTIONS - 6/20/1990 RESOLUTION NO. 17159 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, VACATING AND ABANDONING 10 FEET OF RIGHT AWAY ALONG THE SOUTH HALF OF RAMON ROAD IN SECTION 22, T.45. R.4E. S.B.B.M• WHEREAS the City Council is authorized by the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation law; Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code, to vacate and close to public use streets or parts of streets within the limits of Lhe City; and WHEREAS heretofore the City Council did adopt a resolution declaring its intention to vacate the hereinafter referred to portion of Ramon Road and did post notice as required by the Statute, and did hold its public hearings as required by the Statute; and WHEREAS the City Council found from all evidence submitted that the said portion of Ramon Road as described in the Resolution of Intention, was and is unnecessary for present or prospective public street purposes, and that it is in the public interest that the hereinafter described public right-of-Way be vacated; and WHEREAS the Planning Commission determined that the vacation of said portion of Ramon Road was not in conflict with the City's General Plan. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs as Follows: Section I. The City Council does hereby vacate all the City's right, title and interest in 10 feet of right of way along the South half of Ramon Road in Section 22, T.4S. R.4E. S_B.B.M. as described in Exhibit "A", and shown on Exhibit "B" aLLached hereto and made a part hereof, a street within said City, County of Riverside, State of California, depicted on a map on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Palm Springs, California, which said map is hereby referred to for the particulars on the proposed street vacation. Section 2. The City Clerk is directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution, attested to by her under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of Riverside County. The City Clerk is further directed to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the County Surveyor of Riverside County. ADOPTED this 20th day of _ June 1990.
