SUBJECT: Gensler Change Order— Interior colors & Furniture

SUMMARY
This action would provide approval of a Change Order to the Gensler architectural
design contract to add interior color and furniture selection for the Regional Jet Terminal
project for a total cost not to exceed $8,160.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommend that City Council adopt Minute Order No. approving Change Order
No. 2 to Agreement No. A4382 (Amendment No. 11) with Gensler adding interior color
and furniture selection for the Regional Jet Terminal project to the design contract for an
amount not to exceed $8,160, subject to approval of the Federal Aviation
Administration,
STAFF ANALYSIS:
Gensler is the architectural firm that designed the Regional Jet Terminal. The selection
of interior materials, colors and furniture was not included in the original design contract.
The construction process has now reached the point that the carpet and paint selections
are needed and the City is currently in the process of circulating Request for Proposals
for the furniture which will require an interior designer to be part of the selection
process. The Airport Commission considered this action at their February 14, 2007
meeting and they recommend City Council approval.
The attached Change Order would add this interior design work to the current contract
for an amount not to exceed $8,160.

FISCAL IMPACT:
The design work contemplated in the Change Order is eligible under AIP 38 for
reimbursement and is budgeted in account A 15-6600-56063.
