RESOLUTION NO. 20999
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS,
CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION 20942, THE
COMPREHENSIVE FEE SCHEDULE, TO ADD THE
BUSINESS LICENSE ADMINISTRATIVE FEE, AT THE
RATE OF $25 FOR ALL NEW BUSINESS LICENSES, AND
$15 PER YEAR FOR ALL RENEWED BUSINESS LICENSES.
WHEREAS on May 19, 2004 the City Council Adopted Resolution 20942; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 20942 is the City's Comprehensive Fee Schedule; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to amend Resolution 20942 to add a fee for the
administrative costs of collection and tracking business licenses; and
WHEREAS,the Department of Finance has determined that the approximate administrative costs
for business license collection and tracking exceed $100,000 per year; ,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs that
Resolution 20942 be amended as follows:
Finance
Business License Administrative Fee
New Business Licenses $25.00
Renewed Business Licenses $15.00 per year
(Note: includes licenses for the exempt and
non-profit organizations).
ADOPTED this 7`h day of July, 2004.
