Residents of those two cities also play either of the 18 hole courses. Why bring these facts up at this time? To illustrate that Palm Springs residents compare very poorly in relation to residents of other valley cities with municipal golf courses.. To make matters worse... After study sessions attended by the city Council, Park and Recreation dept staff, and Arnold Palmer Golf Mgt. It evidently has been decided to increase the cost to golf and reduce the days for advance tee times. This is astounding since the residential golfer has had no chance for a study session with the city. We have been told that the City Council will vote on golf changes on Oct. 18t'' WE URGE YOU TO RECONSIDER Before you vote on changes give Palm Springs residents an opportunity to get involved in the process. , RESOLUTION P12 T7jEM MIZELL SENIOR CENTER October 3"', 2000 SUBJECT: Funding of the Mizell Senior Center Whereas: The City of Palm Springs has over 1,000 Seniors Citizens who are 85 years of age or older; Whereas: The Mizell Senior Center provides more Senior and Community services than all Valley Senior Centers combined; Whereas: 150 meals are delivered daily to homebound seniors in Palm Springs; Whereas:.
