HomeMy WebLinkAbout20338 - RESOLUTIONS - 5/15/2002 RESOLUTION NO. 20338 OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, ' APPROVING AN ACQUISITION AGREEMENT WITH C.H,I.C., L.L C.ANDMATHEWTALALA OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A PROPERTY ON SOUTH INDIAN CANYON DRIVE (APN 513 154 034) FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A DOWNTOWN PARKING STRUCTURE A04500 WHEREAS the City of Palm Springs has endeavored far the past thirty years to increase the supply of public parking in the downtown area; and WHEREAS the City is proceeding with the construction of a downtown parking structure at the northwest corner of Baristo Road and Indian Canyon Drive; and WHEREAS the City has negotiated an Acquisition Agreement with Mathew Talala and C.H.I.C_ L.L.C. that trades the value of the property, plus in-lieu parking fees paid by the property owner, for reserved spaces in the structure at a rate of $12,000 per space. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, that the Acquisition Agreement and Agreement Containing Covenants, Codes and Restrictions, in a form approved by the City Attorney, is hereby approved. ADOPTED this 15r day of May 2002.
