HomeMy WebLinkAbout20337 - RESOLUTIONS - 5/15/2002 RESOLUTION NO. 20337 OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, ' APPROVING AN ACQUISITION AGREEMENT WITH ZACHARY FRANKS &MARLY STONE OF KIHEI, HAWAII, HUSBAND AND WIFE, AND THE JEFF S. WHITE LIVING TRUST, FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A PROPERTY ON SOUTH INDIAN CANYON DRIVE (APN 513 154 008) FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A DOWNTOWN PARKING STRUCTURE A04501 WHEREAS the City of Palm Springs has endeavored for the past thirty years to increase the supply of public parking in the downtown area; and WHEREAS the City is proceeding with the construction of a downtown parking structure at the northwest corner of Baristo Road and Indian Canyon Drive; and WHEREAS the City has negotiated an Acquisition Agreement with Zachary Franks&Marly Stone and the Jeff S. White Living Trust, that trades the value of the property, plus in-lieu parking fees paid by the property owner, for reserved spaces in the structure at a rate of $12,000 per space. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, that the Acquisition Agreement and Agreement Containing Covenants, Codes and Restrictions, in a form approved by the City Attorney, is hereby approved. , ADOPTED this i K«H day of may 2002.
