HomeMy WebLinkAbout19678 - RESOLUTIONS - 10/20/1999RESOLUTION NO. .19678 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING AND/OR RATIFYING PURCHASES RELATED TO THE GRAND OPENING CEREMONIES OF THE TERMINAL EXPANSION PROJECT OF THE PALM SPRINGS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. WHEREAS after ten years of work, beginning on November 3, 1999, the Airport will hold a series of celebrations to commemorate the opening of its new second level boarding facility; and WHEREAS in keeping with the importance of this project to the local tourism economy, funds have been budgeted in the Airport fund to provide for the opening celebrations; and WHEREAS the Procurement Manager received price quotes on all of the services requiring multiple quotations (note that catering is provided by the Airport concessionaire by contract) to arrive at the least expensive well -qualified provider of services, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby approves and/or ratifies the following purchases related to the Airport Terminal Grand Opening celebrations: Company Item Not to Exceed Cost 1. Pyro Spectaculars Pyrotechnics $10,000. 2. Anton AirFoods Catering $25,500. ADOPTED this 20th day of October 11999.
