HomeMy WebLinkAbout19477 - RESOLUTIONS - 3/3/1999 RESOLUTION NO. 19477 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FARRELL DRIVE RELOCATION PROJECT (CP#94-45), AIP 3-06-0181-22, 23 &24, SUBJECT TO FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION 1 CONCURRENCE, AND APPROVING CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION PARAMETERS. WHEREAS the Palm Springs International Airport Master Plan calls for the extension of the main runway which requires the relocation of Farrell Drive; and WHEREAS an exchange of property between the Airport and allottees of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians has been completed to accommodate the Farrell relocation; and WHEREAS the project was competitively bid, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that: l. The Farrell Drive Relocation (City Project 494-45) contract is hereby awarded, subject to Federal Aviation Administration concurrence,to Granite Construction Co.,in the amount of$1,343,155;and 2. The Director,Department of Transportation is hereby authorized to administer the contract on behalf of the City and may approve Change Orders up to 2.5% of total contract price subject to City Manager concurrence.
