HomeMy WebLinkAbout19420 - RESOLUTIONS - 12/2/1998 RESOLUTION NO. 19420 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING TOTAL SETTLEMENT COST OF $178,125 FOR STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY, SLOPE EASEMENT AND DAMAGES FOR THE ACQUISITION OF A PORTION OF ' LAND OWNED BY HARDWOODS,INC.TO CONSTRUCT THE MID-VALLEY PARKWAY, AND TO APPROVE EXPENDITURES OF$38,645 TO HARDWOODS,INC.AS FINAL PAYMENT FOR THE ACQUISITION OVER AND ABOVE $139,490 ALREADY RELEASED TO DATE TO HARDWOODS VIA CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS. ALL COSTS TO BE REIMBURSED BY THE COACHELLA VALLEY ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS (CVAG)FROM REGIONAL MEASURE A FUNDS ALLOCATED FOR THE MID-VALLEY PARKWAY (WEST END) PROJECT. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Palm Springs does hereby: 1. Approve total settlement cost of $178,125 for street right-of-way, slope easement and damages for the acquisition of a portion of land owned by Hardwoods, Inc. to construct the Mid-Valley Parkway; and 2. Approve payment of$3 8,645 to Hardwoods,Inc.,over and above$139,480 already released ' to date to Hardwoods via condemnation proceedings; and 3. That all costs to be reimbursed to the City from the Coachella Valley Association of Governments (CVAG) frorn Regional Measure A funds allocated for the Mid-Valley Parkway (West End) Project. ADOPTED this 2nd day of December, 1998.
