OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM
SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO SIGN CITY
COUNCIL APPROVED PROGRAM SUPPLEMENT
' AGREEMENTS INCORPORATED INTO THE
MASTER AGREEMENT NO.08-5282 BETWEEN THE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND THE CITY OF PALM
SPRINGS FOR FEDERAL-AID PROJECTS
WHEREAS in 1978, City Council originally approved Local Agency - State Master Agreement No. 08-
5282 to provide for federal aid relating to transportation related grant projects; and
WHEREAS on February 18, 1998, City Council approved a Resolution authorizing a new Master
Agreement with the State, updated due to the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act of 1991
(ISTEA)and changes in Caltrans local-assistance procedures(Resolution 19201,Agreement A1459). The
new Master Agreement was executed by the State on March 18, 1998; and
WHEREAS as new grant projects are approved, Program Supplement Agreements must be incorporated
into the City-State Master Agreement, requiring signature by an approved City Official; and
WHEREAS the City Council authorizes the City Manager to sign agreements with outside agencies,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Palm Springs does hereby
authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to sign City Council approved Program Supplement
Agreements incorporated into Master Agreement No. 08-5282 between the State of California and the City
' of Palm Springs for Federal-Aid projects.
