HomeMy WebLinkAbout19193 - RESOLUTIONS - 2/4/1998 RESOLUTION NO. 19193 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE ADDENDUM TO THE MEMORANDUM OF ' UNDERSTANDING RELATIVE TO THE REALLOCATION OF POSITIONS FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, Resolution 16438, designates the City Manager (acting personally or through a delegee) as the Municipal Employee Relations Representative (MERR) who shall be the City' s principal representative on all matters within the scope of representation, including wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment; and WHEREAS, the City, through its Municipal Employee Relations Representative (MERR) has met and conferred in good faith on wages, hours, terms and other conditions of employment with the Palm Springs Police Management Association (PSPMA) ; and WHEREAS, these meetings have resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding relating to PSPMA member employees in the Police Management Association covering the period July 1, 1996, through +' June 30, 1998; and WHEREAS, MERR and PSPMA have been engaged in good faith meet and confer sessions regarding the reallocation and change of range for the position of lieutenant to commander as set forth in the attached Addendum, and now desire to amend the MOU to incorporate those items as agreed upon. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, as follows : Section 1 . That the Addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding between PSPMA and MERR, dated December 17, 1997, on file with the City Clerk and incorporated herein by this reference is hereby approved. ADOPTED this fourth day of February, 1998 .
