HomeMy WebLinkAbout19026 - RESOLUTIONS - 5/7/1997 RESOLUTION NO. 19026 OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY' OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE GRANTING OF AN EASEMENT TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY FOR THE AIR MUSEUM ON THE WEST SIDE OF GENE AUTRY TRAIL IN SECTION 7, T. 4 S., R. ' 5 E., S.B.B.& IM. WHEREAS the City of Palen Springs is the owner of the Airport property, located on the west side of Gene Autry Trail in Section 7, and WHEREAS Southern California Edison Company has requested the City to grant it an easement over the Palm Springs Airport properly, as described and shown in the Grant of Easement document on file in the City Clerk's office and On Exhibit "A"' attached hereto and made apart hereof, and WHEREAS granting the easement requested by the Edison Company will not interfere with the existing improvements or any improvements planned for the future and will be in the best interest of the public. NOW THEREFORE be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California as follows: Section 1. Granting an easement to Southern California Edison Company in a form approved by the City Attorney, for underground eiectrical facilities at the location described and shown in the Grant of Easement document on file in the City Clerk's office and on Exhibit"A" attached ' hereto and made apart hereof, is hereby approved. Section 2. The City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Grant of Easement document on behalf of the City of Palm Springs. Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to record said Grant of Easement in the Office of the County Recorder of Riverside County.
