HomeMy WebLinkAbout18922 - RESOLUTIONS - 10/30/1996RESOLUTION NO. 18922 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE ALL OF THE RIGHT, TITLE AND INTEREST OFSAID, CITY I IN A PORTION OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY DEDICATED FOR ANDREAS ROAD, BETWEEN INDIAN CANYON DRIVE AND CALLE ENCILIA IN SECTION 14 TAS.,R.4E. WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Palm Springs California is authorized by the Public Streets, Highways and Services Easements Vacation Law, Part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, to vacate and close to public use, streets, or parts of streets, within the limits of said City; and WHEREAS the City Council intends to vacate and close to public use that portion of Andreas Road between Indian Canyon Drive and Calle Encilia, a road within the City of Palm Springs, County of Riverside, State of California. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, California, as follows: Section 1. That the City Council does hereby signify and declare its intention to vacate a portion of the right-of-way for Andreas Road, more: particularly described as follows: ' Being that portion of Andreas Road lying east of the east line of Indian Canyon Drive and west of the west line of Calle Encilia, in tine City of Palm Springs as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, a read within the City of Palm Springs, County of Riverside, State of California. Section 2. That the Director Public Works of said City of Palm Springs is to hereby conspicuously post along the line of that part of said Andreas Road proposed to be vacated at not more than 300 foot intervals, but not less than three in all, on said street, notice of street vacation. Such notices shall state the passage of the Resolution of Intention and the time and place of hewing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. Section 3. That the 4th day of December 1996, at the hour of 7:00 P.M. of said date, in the City Council Chambers at 3200 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way, ]Palm Springs California, being and the same is hereby fixed as the time and place for said proposed street vacation, said time being not less than fifteen days from the date of adoption of this resolution.. The City Clerk be and hereby is directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be published in the manner prescribed by law for the publication of ordinances of said city.
