HomeMy WebLinkAbout18546 - RESOLUTIONS - 1/18/1995 RESOLUTION NO. 18546 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM ' SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING STATE DIRECTOR, OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES, CONCURRENCE IN LOCAL EMERGENCIES WHEREAS, on January 11, 1995, the City Council of the City of Palm Springs found chat due to heavy rain and flooding, commencing on January 4, 1995, a condition of extreme peril of life and property exists in the City of Palm Springs. NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that said local emergency shall be deemed to continue to exist until its termination is proclaimed by the City Council of the City of Palm springs, State of California. BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED ,AND ORDERED that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors of the County of Riverside with a request that it request the Governor of California to proclaim the County of Riverside to be a state of emergency, and further that the Governor request a Presidential Declaration; and BE IT FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that a copy of this proclamation and resolution be forwarded to the Clark of the Board of Supervisors, to the Director of the State Office of Emergency Services, and to all other appropriate state and federal agencies with an interest therein. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that Blake Goetz, Emergency Services Coordinator, is ' hereby designated as the authorized representative of the City of Palm Springs for the purpose of receipt, processing and coordination of all inquiries and requirements necessary to obtain available state assistance.
