HomeMy WebLinkAbout18459 - RESOLUTIONS - 8/10/1994 RESOLUTION NO. 18459 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SALE OF THE PRAIRIE SCHOONER SITE FOR $2,275,000 TO THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS FROM THE 1994 SERIES A REVENUE BONDS. --------------------- WHEREAS, the Prairie Schooner site, more particularly described and shown on Exhibits A and B, is owned by the City of Palm Springs; and WHEREAS, the site is of prime importance to the development of the Indian gaming casino; and WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Agua Caliente Tribal Council, the City and the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) includes the disposition of the Prairie Schooner site by the CRA; and WHEREAS, the value of that site is set at$2,275,000 by the Convention Center Lease Revenue Bonds, 1991 Series A bond covenants; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to sell the site to the CRA for that amount. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs as follows: SECTION 1. The City Council approves the sale of the land commonly referred to as the Prairie Schooner site, more particularly described and shown on Exhibits A and B attached hereto, and made a part hereof, for the sum of $2,275,000 to the Community Redevelopment Agency. SECTION 2. That the sale described in Section 1 is contingent upon the availability of funding from the 1994 Series A Revenue Bonds. SECTION 3. That the City Manager and the-City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign documents approved by the City Attorney on behalf of the City of Palm Springs necessary to consummate the acquisition of said land.
