HomeMy WebLinkAbout18458 - RESOLUTIONS - 8/10/1994 RESOLUTION NO. 18458 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OF ITS MEMBERS TO FILE WRITTEN ARGUMENTS REGARDING A CITY MEASURE. WHEREAS a Special Municipal Election to be consolidated with the Statewide General Election ' is to be held in the City of Palm Springs, California, on November 8, 1994, at which there will be submitted to the qualified electors of said City, the following measure: MEASURE [ ] Shall the ordinance which amends the Palm Springs Rent Control Ordinance so that apartments, condominiums, and single-family units are permanently removed from rent control YES when vacated by their current occupants, but leaving the rent control ordinance unchanged for mobilehome park units be adopted? NO NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs, that the City Council, being the legislative body of said City, hereby authorizes: DEYNA HODGES member(s) of said body, to file written argument ' .. against the City measure set forth in the ' recitals hereof in accordance with Article 4, Chapter 3, Division 5 of the Elections Code of the State of California, and to change said arguments until and including the date fixed by the City Clerk after which no arguments for or against said City measure may be submitted to the City Clerk. ADOPTED this 10th day of August, 1994.
