RESOLUTION NO. 18303
O 9/537' OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F PALM
SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF
PROCEEDINGS AND ACCOUNTING FOR THE PUBLIC
NUISANCE ABATEMENT LOCATED AT POR. LILTS 14 ,
15, 16, 17, BLK 4, MB 012/052, PALM CANYON '
MESA, 1752 RIDGE ROAD„ PALM SPRINGS, FILE NO.
9110-09.01, ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NO. 513-352-002-

WHEREAS the City has instituted abatement proceedings concerning
accumulations of refuse and waste constituting a fire hazard
located on the property described as Por. Lots 14, 15, 16, 17, Blk
4, MB 012/052, Palm Canyon Mesa„ Palm Springs, California; and
WHEREAS said property is shown as Assessor's Parcel No. 513-352-
002-9 on the County Assessor's Map books as of 1•-19-94; and
WHEREAS the Director of Building and Safety has reported that
notices required .in accordance with Chapter 11..72 of the Palm
Springs Municipal Code have been given and that the owner has
refused to comply; and
WHEREAS pursuant to said code, the City thereupon abated the: public
nuisance located on the property described above;; and
WHEREAS the City Council did receive and file the report of
proceedings and accounting of the cost of abatement on 1-1.9-94.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows: '
Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves the report of
Proceedings and Accounting of cast in the total
amount of $7,227„99.
Section 2. That a special assessment lien in the amount of
$7,227.99 is hereby imposed upon the property
hereinabove described.
Section 3. That a certified copy of this Resolution and the
report shall be filed with the Riverside County
Assessor.
Section 4. That the County Assessor is respectfully requested
to enter the amount of the assessment on the County
Tax Roll opposite the parcel of Land referred to,
and that thereafter said amount shall be collected
at the same time, and in the same mariner as
ordinary municipal taxes.
Section 5. That a certified copy of this resolution and the
report shall be recorded with the Riverside: County
Recorder's Office.

D. NOTICE TO PROCEED: On 11-19-91, the Director of Building and
Safety issued a Notice to Proceed to Abate nuisance.
E. Work Completion: Work was satisfactorily completed on 12-3-91.
F. Billing: On 12-9-91, the owner was billed to cover abatement
costs, $7, 227. 91.
G. Non-Payment: As of 1-19-94, the bill remained outstanding.
