HomeMy WebLinkAbout18301 - RESOLUTIONS - 2/16/1994 i (- /J :RESOLUTION NO. 18301 OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF a9/59-1' PROCEEDINGS AND ACCOUNTING FOR THE PUBLIC NUISANCE ABATEMENT LOCATED AT LOT 120, MB 024/053, DESERT HIGHLAND ESTATES, VACANT PROPERTY, FILE NO. 9108-22.04, ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NO. 669-403-003-5 WHEREAS the City has instituted abatement proceedings concerning removal of refuse and waste located on the property described as Lot 120, MB 024/053, Desert Highland Estates, Palm Springs, California; and WHEREAS said property is shown as Assessor's Parcel No. 669-403- 00:3-5 on the County Assessor's Map books as of 1-19-94; and WHEREAS the Director of Building and Safety has reported that notices required in accordance with Chapter 11.72 of the Palm Springs Municipal Code have been given and that the owner has refused to comply; and WHEREAS pursuant to said code, the City thereupon abated the public nuisance located on the property described above; and WHEREAS the City Council did receive and file the report of proceedings and accounting of the cost of abatement on 1-:19-94. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows: Section 1. That the City Council hereby approves the report of , Proceedings and Accounting of cost in the total amount of $638.27. Section 2. That a special assessment lien in the amount of $638.27 is hereby imposed upon the property hereinabove described. Section 3. That a certified copy of this Resolution and the report shall be filed with the Riverside, County Assessor. Section 4 . That the County .Assessor is respectfully requested to enter the amount of the assessmment on the County Tax Roll opposite the parcel of 'Land referred to, and that thereafter said amount shall be collected at the same time, and in the same manner as ordinary municipal taxes. Section 5. That a certified copy of this resolution and the report shall be :recorded with the Riverside County Recorder's Office. ADOPTED this 16th day of Fe ruar , 1994. NOTICE TO PROCEED: On 10-15-91, the Director of Building and Safety issued a Notice to Proceed to Abate nuisance. E. Work Completion: Work was satisfactorily completed on 11-15-91. F. Billing: On 11-21-91, the owner was billed to cover abatement costs, $638. 27. G. Non-Payment: As of 1-19-94, the bill remained outstanding. IV.
