HomeMy WebLinkAbout18139 - RESOLUTIONS - 7/7/1993 r RESOLUTION NO. 18139 ' OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING CONSENT TO A SUB-SUBLEASE BETWEEN VOSS INVESTMENT PROPERTIES AND JAGG I, INC. Y WHEREAS the City of Palm Springs is the lessee under the Convention Center Project Master Lease, Palm Springs Lease- 315 (PSL 315) ; and WHEREAS PSL 315 requires all leases and subleases to receive ' the approval of the Secretary of the Interior or his authorized representative, which has been designated to be the Palm Springs office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) ; and WHEREAS subleases entered into under PSL 315 require that the subtenants obtain the prior consent of the City of Palm Springs to any assignments or sub-subleases, which consent should not be unreasonably withheld; and WHEREAS Voss Investment Properties has submitted a proposed sub-sublease between itself and Jagg I, Inc. ; and WHEREAS the city attorney and the city staff have assured themselves that the proposed sub-sublease complies with and is in conformance with requirements of the Master Lease (PSL 315) ; and WHEREAS the Palm Springs office of the Bureau of Indian Affairs requires that the City of Palm Springs give its consent to any proposed sub-sublease and/or assignment thereof prior to its consideration of approval. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs that it consents to the sub-sublease between Voss Investment Properties and Jagg I, Inc. , subject to receipt by the City of a cashier's check in the amount of $30, 375 payable to the City of Palm Springs, to be applied to outstanding rent. ADOPTED this 7th day of July 1993.
