OF THE CITY' COUNCIL OF THE CITY' OF
PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA, VACATING
AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF
CAHUILLA ROAD IN SECTION 15.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Palm,Springs, California„ is authorized by the Public
Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law, part 3, Division 9, of the Streets and
Highways Code, to vacate and close; to public use streets or parts of streets within the limits of
the City; and
WHEREAS heretofore the City Council did adopt a Resolution declaring its intention to vacate
and close the hereinafter referred to portion of Cahuilla Road and the City Council did post
notice as required by the: statute, and acid hold its public hearing as required by the statute; and
WHEREAS the Planning Commission has determined that said road vacation is not in conflict
with the City's General Plan; and
WHEREAS the City Council[ found from edl evidence submitted that the portion of Cahuilla
Road, as described in the Resolution of Intention, was and is unnecessary for present or
prospective public street purposes, and that it is in the public interest that the hereinafter
described public right-of-way be vacated.
NOW THEREFORE BE, IT IRESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Palm Springs as
follows:
Section I. That the City Council does hereby vacate all the City's right, title, and
interest in the west three feet of Cahuilla Road between Ramon Road and
Monte Vista Drive as described in Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit "B",
attached hereto and made a part hereof, a road within said City, County
of Riverside, State of California.
Section 2. That the City reserves therefrom easements for sewer lines and other
public utilities over, under and across the portion of Cahuilla Road to be
vacated as described on said Exhibit "A" and shown on Exhibit "B".
Section 3. That the City Clerk is directed to cause a certified copy of this Resolution,
attested by her under the seal of the City , to be recorded in the Office of
the County Recorder of Riverside County. The City Clerk is further
directed to transmit a. certified copy of this Resolution to the County
Surveyor of Riverside County.

Being a portion of Lot 45 of Tahquitz Park No. 2 as recorded in Map Book 19, Page 2
of Official Records of Riverside County, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the Northerly line of said Lot 45, N 89' 50' E, 87.79 feet
east of the Northwest corner of said Lot, said point being the point of cusp with
a curve concave to the Southwest and the Easterly continuation of said Northerly
line; thence N 89' 50' E, 3.00 feet to the beginning of a tangent durve concave to
the Southwest having a central angle of 90' 02' 00" and a radius of 20.00 feet;
thence Southeasterly along said curve an arc length of 31.43 feet to the point
of tangency with a line parallel with and 30.00 feet Westerly of the centerline of
Cahuilla Road, 66.00 feet wide; thence Southerly along said parallel line S 0° 08'
E, 90.00 feet to a tangent curve concave Northwesterly having a central angle of
89' 58' 00" and a radius of 20.00 feet; thence Southwesterly along said curve an
are length of 31.40 feet to the point of tangency with the Easterly continuation
of the Southerly line of said Lot 45; thence S 89' 50' W, 3.00 feet, to the point
of cusp with a tangent curve concave to the Northwest having a central angle of
89' 58' 00" and a radius of 20.00 feet; thence Northeasterly along said curve an
arc length of 31.40 feet to the point of tangency with a line parallel with and
33.00 feet distant Westerly from the centerline of said previously mentioned Cahuilla
Road, said parallel line being the Westerly right-of-way line of Cahuilla Road, thence
N 0° 08' W, 90.00 feet to a tangent curve concave Southwesterly a central angle of
90° 02' 00" and a radius of 20.00 feet; thence Northwesterly along said curve an arc
length of 31.43 feet to the point of beginning.
